Obituary of Mr. Donald Kenneth Gibson

DONALD KENNETH GIBSON

Nov 20, 1925 – July 15, 2018

Donald was the oldest son of Henry Gibson and Phyllis Caudle. Very special brother to Lawrence (deceased), Bob (deceased), Paul (Lynne), Barbara, John (Berni) and Alan Turnell (Sharon). Sorely missed by his other family, Peter and Janice Saarimaki, who he lived with for over 35 years. Favourite Uncle Don to Andrew Saarimaki (Natalie) and Heather Davis (Jeremy). He was born in the East end of Toronto where his roots stayed, even when he served with the RCAF in Britain, or worked after the war in York, or worked for Purolator in Calgary. He was also an auto mechanic at the Lion Station on Kingston Rd and marine mechanic at the Big Chute Marina on the Severn River. Even in “retirement” he continued fixing things at The Workshop at St Timothy’s Anglican Church.
