You taught me how to make the best cup of tea. How to saute tomatoes, eggs and bacon for a lovely English breakfast. You hauled me down to the water to learn to use the boat and I still miss being in a boat of any kind. You and dad threw me off the dock to teach me to swim. I'll never forget that :) I was your daughter when I wasn't with my parents and I can't forgive Auntie Vi and now you leaving me. My heart breaks. Thank you for lifes lessons. Thank you for braving the drive to NS to see and help me. Thank you for being there. I can't thank you for leaving...you are not out of the woods yet but :) Dont forget me up there...I expect you, Auntie Vi, and most especially Mum to be waiting for me.

I was so very sorry to hear the news of Don's sudden passing. He has been a wonderful friend to all of us in the Smith and Saarimaki families for so many years. I can clearly hear his hearty laugh and jovial good nature.

Don was my eldest brother. This photo from his 90th birthday party reflects his joy of life. Always happy and bringing joy to all that crossed his path. I will always miss him. Rest in peace my brother.
