It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daphne Joyce Hart (née Lennon) at Scarborough General Hospital on Friday May 25th, 2018.  Born in Cross Keys, Jamaica, she was 90 years old.

 

Beloved wife of James Hart, she will be sadly missed by her sons Peter (Vanett) and Ian (Sandra); stepdaughters Maxine and Robyn; stepson Trevor Steer; sister Primrose Waite; grandchildren Shane, Osei, Francis, Peter Jr (Alyssa), Jabari, Sean, Renée, and Daniel; goddaughters Michele and Heather; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She will be sadly missed by numerous dear friends.

 

Daphne was an outstanding and respected teacher of mathematics at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute where she retired in 1993.  After retirement she continued to tutor and cultivate her passion to travel and spoil her grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd).  

Visitation will be held on Friday June 8th, 2018 from 5-9pm.

Funeral Service to be held on Saturday June 9th at 2pm with reception to follow.

 

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada and St Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church, Scarborough.
