Obituary of Mrs. Sumedha Parrab

It is with great sadness that the family of Sumedha Parrab announces her passing on Wednesday, January 10th, at the age of 88 years and two hours before her 89th birthday. Sumedha will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Monohar; her children Ranu, Raju & Arijit; grandchildren Rohan, Vivek, Rahul & Jai; and 12 brothers and sisters . A native of Kolkata India, Sumedha was a riveting soul with a beautiful heart. The oldest of 12, her family and friends were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Sumedha during her 89 years, among them: Travel the world, Love & Laugh and Take care of those around you.

Across the world in India, Peru and Canada, her presence was felt by everyone who she encountered. An avid lover of violin, cooking, and language, Sumedha’s vigour for life never left her; and her memory will live on.

A funeral service in memory of Sumedha will be held on Monday, January 15th at 10:30am at Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Avenue East). If desired, in lieu of flowers, family and friends may wish to make a donation to The Humane Society or a charity of their choice.=
