It is with great sorrow that I say goodbye to my grandmother, a wonderful human being who lived an exciting and complete life. From the day I was born she has been a prominent member in my life. She has seen me through the most important aspects of my life and guided me through with dedication and compassion. Without her influence, I would not be the person I am today. She was sophisticated, well traveled, intelligent, graceful and most importantly generous. A natural leader from childhood, she made sure everyone was taken care of and ensured that her family was successful in all their endeavors. She was a forward thinking feminist, setting an example through her education, which enabled her to become a pioneer and promote her siblings, children and grandchildren to follow suit. Everyone who knew her, knew how sharp her mind was, developed from almost 89 years of experience. A master of multiple languages, dances, cuisine and care taking, she is a woman who will live in memory for generations to come. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

It was a great pleasure to have known such a beautiful, strong, and extraordinary woman. Her grandchildren and children are such amazing people because of all the wisdom she has passed down over the years. I will never forget the overflow of love she gave to me as a granddaughter and her beautiful speech at our wedding. She will forever live in our hearts and be in our prayers. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel :).

A great lady with great achievements. Learnt so much from her over the years without even realising. Just by seeing how she lived and loved and conducted her self. Her grace her dignity and her personality with a capital P! So much laughter and jokes and teasing. And of course running away. She lives on in the way we conduct ourselves.
