Obituary of Mr. Cortelle Willis

Cortelle Kirkland Willis, 38, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2018.

Cortelle was born February 10th, 1979 in Scarborough, Ontario. He was a hard worker at the Toronto Transit Commission, employed as a Service Person in the Maintenance Department.

His greatest passions were basketball, music, and his family. Cortelle will be remembered by his beautiful and contagious smile, and his unique hazel eyes.

He was more than a son, brother, cousin or nephew, Cortelle was also a great friend to all and he will never be forgotten.

Cortelle is survived by his amazing mother, Iris Willis, his strong brother, Kyle Willis, his exceptionally large family who loved him unconditionally; aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.

The Viewing Service will be held at Ogden Funeral Home on Sunday January 14th, 2018 from 4pm-8pm and Monday January 15th, 2018 from 12pm-1pm. The funeral service will be held at Ogden Funeral Home on Monday January 15th, 2018 at 1pm-2pm followed by the burial at Pine Hills Cemetery at 3pm. Please join us for the repass at Grant AME Church at 2029 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M4E 2B3 after Cortelle’s burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
