I only heard thus tragic news a couple of days ago. My condolences goes out to Cortelle's friends and families. I worked with Willis for a year when he started at the TTC on tracks. The best quality I remembered about him was he showed intiative of what he did, from digging ties, and installing them. Even when people doubted him, he showed them that it could be done. Rest in peace willis, and continue being you in paradise.

My condolences to you Ms. Willis and the family. I am saddened to hear of this news. I was really good friends with Cortelle back @ AHS in Richmond Hill. Although, our time together was short I have fond memories of Cortelle. He was a loving, caring person. You cldn't be upset/sad around him as he would always make you smile. I moved to Ajax and we did not stay in touch but whenever I'd think of AHS Cortelle was always in my thoughts. Too young, too soon. May his soul rest in peace and may the family find comfort during this difficult times in the arms of the Savior.

I knew Cortelle from elementary school. I remember one day I fell down and was bleeding badly in the yard. Cortelle picked me up literally carrying me and took me straight to the office so I could get help. God bless you and all and him. Prayers are with you.

Hello Iris, and all of my family,

My heart is broken. It will never heal from the passing of Cortelle. Cortelle came into my family’s life many many years ago as a friend of my daughter, Theodora. My husband and I immediately loved and admired this young man. In my daughter’s life, he was the best influence and champion she ever had . Ever. With Cortelle , she thought she could conquer the world. He inspired us all.
His friendship with my family continued for years. While he was in school, while he went to work, when he got his first car, when he so proudly introduced me to his mom, Iris. His light, his fire, his love of life burned brighter than others. His beautiful smile and glorious eyes embraced the world. Nobody could come near the charm, the elegance, the fun and the deep love he shared with us all.
