Obituary of Mr. Tueson Dunstan
It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Tueson Nicanor Dunstan. He was taken by cancer and will be greatly missed. Tueson passed away peacefully on Thursday December, 28, 2017, at Providence Healthcare in his 79th year. Loving father of Tueson (Patricia), Karen, and Lisa. Adoring grandfather of Brianna and Jeremiah. Brother to Felix, Lloyd, Roy, and cousin to a great number of extended family from Maroon Town, Maldon, St. James District, Jamaica WI. Tueson was predeceased by his beloved wife of 11 years, Yvonne “Cherry” (nee Roper) and sister Olive.
Tueson was a proud graduate of the University of West Indies (UWI Mona) and studied at teachers college in Jamaica before migrating to Bermuda to teach Spanish. He then migrated to Canada, where he received his Bachelor of Education from University of Toronto and joined the Toronto District School Board to teach Accounting and Law. He strongly believed in the value of knowledge and education, and was an inspiration to many of his students. He will be forever remembered by friends, family, and former students, as a bright, articulate, kind and supportive spirit.
The family will receive guests on Friday, January 12th, 2018 from 2 – 4pm, and 7 – 9pm, at Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Ave E, Agincourt, ON M1S 1T3). The funeral service will take place on Saturday January 13th, 2018. The visitation will begin at 1:30pm, followed by a memorial service in the Ogden Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30pm, and a reception for family and friends at 3:30pm.
