Now I can reflect on the Happy childhood days we had growing up with Annette, her siblings and parents in the Pomeroom many moons ago. I remembered the day she got married to her first and only love Theodore (we called him Sonny). He was the only son of my uncle Henry and Aunt Ursula VanSluytman. Annette and Sonny had beautiful children which brought joy into their lives and her children all married and gave her many many grandchildren which is another blessings from Heaven. Most of all I can remember the happy and joyful times especially at Christmas in Bend Street where all the family got together and the men with their guitars strumming and singing away jolly songs which we all joined in until the wee hours of the morning. There are so many happy memories for us to remember but now she is with all her loved ones who have greeted her with open arms and embrace her with eternal love as we say our GOODBYES to a wonderful Lady and our prayers and Love are with the family today and always in our hearts. My grandma was certainly one of a kind. Very grounded in her religion and made sure all of us and all the lives she had touched know this, she particularly was fond of the Rosary which she said every day before she got up.
I had the privilege to live with her for 3 years while attending College, my stay there wasn't a bed of roses like most people would expect, but at the same time it was a learning experience and strengten of faith, which looking back now was probably one of her many lessons she was trying to teach us in faith, in kindness and in caring.
Sleep on grandma you are free and without pain and suffering. I will always love you. RIP Grandma
