I am very sorry to hear about the passing of George Ward. He was a very dear friend of my dad, Lloyd Infuso. They met at American Standard in the late '50's early '60's and my dad worked there till the early '70's. My dad, Lloyd became good friends with George, Ron Eaboni, Harold Taylor, Eddie Krawvic, Fred LeFevre, Ken Walsh and Len Wojcik. I remember George was always part of the 'American Standard Gang' and we use to go to Clare Keith's Cottage every May 24th weekend with all the families and then... just the 'guys' went to Clare's cottage on the Labour Day weekend as a camping and fishing trip. George would drive to our Etobicoke home (Dixon Rd. and Royal York Rd.) and he would park his car in our garage and drive up to the cottage with my dad. The car was a beautiful, White 1963? Cougar. Every year my brother and I use to look forward to when that gorgeous car would sit in our garage for the weekend. My dad, Ron Eaboni, Len Wojcik along with George would go to Las Vegas every year. Again, our garage would have the pleasure of 'protecting' the car. That car was quite a good size and 'just fit' into our garage. George would attend all our summer pool parties and basement parties on Braywin Drive. He also attended my dad's 85th Birthday in 2009 at my house at Royal York and Bloor. That is the last time we saw him. My dad passed away from leukemia in 2013. We have very fond memories of George Ward... his devoted friendship, sense of humour and his beautiful car!!
