Obituary of Mr. Goolpersad Bhagoutie

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gool Bhagoutie, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and teacher, who left us on December 22nd, 2024, at the age of 83.

Gool was a man of wisdom and kindness, whose love for his family and passion for teaching touched countless lives. A devoted husband to the late Zalina, a loving father to Narissa and Vanessa, and a proud grandfather to Reily, Kian and Téa, he found joy in the simple moments spent with those he loved.

As a teacher, Gool dedicated his life to shaping young minds, inspiring students with his enthusiasm for learning and his belief in their potential. His impact on education was far-reaching, and his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

A lifelong traveler, Gool had an insatiable curiosity about the world. He loved exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and sharing his experiences with those around him. Whether it was hiking through mountains, strolling along foreign streets, or sampling local cuisines, his adventures were always accompanied by stories that sparked the imagination of those fortunate enough to hear them.

In his passing, Gool leaves behind a family and community that will forever be grateful for his unwavering love, his lessons, and the many memories he gifted them. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 28th, 2024, at Knox Presbyterian Church located at 4156 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, ON, M1S 1T3.
