John Tzoulas
September 20, 1947- December 9, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, John Tzoulas, at the age of 77. He left this world surrounded by the love of his family in his Toronto home on December 9, 2024.

John was born on the beautiful island of Samos, Greece, and at the age of 17, he set sail for a new life in Toronto, Canada. There, he built a life defined by love, resilience, and joy. At 26, he married the love of his life and best friend, our mother, Evanthia (nee Glezakos), and together they created a family filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

He was a loving son to his mother, Vera Tzoulas (Vlessi), proud and loving father to Vera (Chris Priftis) , Voula (Michael Stavrakis), and Niko (Brian Harman) and a cherished Pappouli to his grandchildren Maximiliano Nicodemo, Sofia Bianca, and Leda Evanthia, who were the light of his life. His family meant everything to him, and nothing brought him more happiness than being surrounded by those he loved.

John lived with all his heart. He was a simple man with a soul rich in love and kindness. His joy came from life’s truest treasures: sharing meals, being with his wife and kids, and playing poker with his friends — never for more than quarters, but always for fun and friendship.

His voice was unmistakable. If you called the house, you’d be greeted by his booming, joyful “Geia Sou!” — a sound that let you know he was thinking of you long before the conversation began.

Though our hearts ache with his loss, we find comfort in knowing that he lived fully, loved deeply, and left us with memories we will carry forever. His legacy is one of kindness, joy, and an abiding love that will live on in all of us.

Rest peacefully, Dad. We will miss your laughter, your stories, and your voice calling out to us — but we know you’ll always be near, watching over us with love.

"Αιωνία η μνήμη" — May his memory be eternal.
