Dearest cousin,
You were the only one to try to get my mind away from losing Mama. You invited me to Canada's Wonderland. Even though I declined, that's you and I'll forever remember your kind intentions. You hold a special place in my heart and we're all praying for your soul. May you rest in eternal peace with Mama. And if you see Mookie give him a hug along with the other dogs. We'll all miss you dearest cousin, until we meet again.

I will never forget the letters we exchanged when Janet moved to Canada. There was no email back then and all her letters were handwritten and posted. I’m grateful for our online catch-ups, where we reminisced about our lives in Grade 3 and all our ups and downs — I did more sharing of the downs as Janet was never big on venting. Janet is loving, witty, funny and down-to-earth. I will miss Janet terribly, and I hope to see her in heaven one day.
