Co-worker in the same Library. but in a different department.
Carlita was a lovely lady. I first knew her during the Library's annual tradition of singing Christmas carols during the first half hour after opening.
Sometimes it's hard to get people committed to come and sing. Carlita always came, and she wanted to sing the more religious carols. The rules were that we had to have equal time for both secular and religious songs.
Then, after retirement, we kept in contact via Facebook.
Carlita always had lovely looking, inspirational "greeting cards" for all the holidays. That reminded me of my late mother. My mom was not on social media, but she always saved and displayed her cards i hope Carlita and my mother meet. Each would enjoy the other.
And Carlita loved her family. She was so proud of all their achievements. Her son in professional (or semi-pro?) hockey; and her grandson Ronin especially. That was also so endearing. And she could never upload enough pictures of her dog Moose to satisfy me. I fell in love with Moose from the first picture. That winsome face always made my day. He's in the picture of Carlita her daughter uploaded for this memory book.
Carlta was a very caring person, and I will miss her.
