Obituary of Mrs. Jean Zagol

ZAGOL, JEAN A. June 6, 1934 - October 7, 2024 It is with great sorrow that the family of Jean (Agnes) Zagol announces her passing on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Jean will be dearly missed by her loving sons, Mark and Grant. Jean was born and raised in Thunder Bay Ontario on June 6, 1934 to James and Anne (nee Henry) Coghlan. She grew up with sisters, Sarah, Carmel, Kitty, Margaret and brother, Jim. Jean's nursing career took her to a wide variety of locales in Canada and the US, particularly New Brunswick, San Francisco and Toronto where she made many close friends and colleagues. It was during her busy nursing career that she met Jim (James Joseph) Zagol. On July 23, 1966 they married where they went on to create a loving home in Calgary, Alberta for their two sons, Mark (1967) and Grant (1970). They moved to Toronto in 1970 where the family still reside. Jean concluded her nursing career with the Scarborough Foreign Missions Society where she made many lifelong friends. Jean passed away peacefully in the morning of Monday October 7, 2024 knowing that she was dearly loved by her boys. Visitation to be held at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave E, Agincourt from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Funeral to follow at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parrish at 3 Combermere Dr, North York, On. Cremation. Interment will be held at a later date for immediate family.
