Jonathan Joseph Payette, born Nov 03 1930, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec, passed in North York, Ontario Sep 25 2024.  Preceded in death by his parents Irene (Gauthier) and Patrick Payette, his second wife Elizabeth (Turnbull), brothers Allan (Sudbury) and Denzel (Campbell’s Bay), and son Brett. Survived by sons Patrick (Brantford), Paul (Toronto), Martin Breton (Calgary) and daughter Trish (Montreal), 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  A private family service will take place on October 02 2024, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Jon was an immensely proud North York fire-fighter. He retired in 1987 and received medals for exemplary and long service (over 28 years). RIP Dad.
