Obituary of Mrs. Doreen McIlmoyle

Doreen (Slean) McIlmoyle
July 7, 1935 – September 16, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen (Slean) McIlmoyle, a devoted mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. Born on July 7, 1935, Doreen was known for her boundless love for her family, her community, her work family, and animals. She embraced life fully, always ready to support those around her with warmth and unwavering dedication.

Doreen was a feisty spirit, full of life and love, who brought joy to everyone she encountered. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chuck and her son Tom. She is survived by her loving sister Blanche, her son Scott (wife Maryellen), her daughter Sharon, daughter in law Joanne and her cherished grandchildren Greg, Alexander, Nicholas, Kristy and Tyler and great grandchildren Boston and Millie.

Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave East on Sunday September 22 from 11:30am – 1pm. Service will be at 1pm. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception at the Hurley House to celebrate Doreen’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seven Oaks Residence Services, a reflection of Doreen’s generous heart and love for seniors in the community.
