My dearest Grandmother
I am extremely blessed to have had my grandma for so many years. Granny had no fear, she would light up a room as soon as she entered. Always made people laugh, and said hello to everyone who passed her on the street. She loved music, loved dancing, most of all she loved her family. Granny taught me not to waste. She was conservative with her food, money and everything else. She made things last a long time. She said to store up food while you can for the winter.
I would spend every weekend with her, playing cards in the rec room and shuffleboard! We would sit outside for hours people watching and I loved every minute of it.
Granny taught me how to work hard, got my first job with her outside selling clothes in the summertime. I remember she took me to Casino Rama when I turned 18. This is just a fraction of the things she has done for me in my life. Granny raised me from the time I was born to be the woman I am today and I will cherish her forever. She instilled strength in the life she lived. She taught me to respect others and speak when spoken to. I’m forever impacted by her teachings. I’m so grateful my daughter Mia had some small moments with her.
I love you so much granny, you mean the world to me. Tell Uncle Eion Jinjin said hi and I love him.
Rest in Paradise
Love your granddaughter
Jennel ❤️

Aunty Vita as she was known to me, was my mom’s only sister.
If there is a word that best describes Aunty Vita, on looking up the word, it is
“authenticity”
I saw Aunty Vita as authenticity itself. I don’t think I can say the same for anyone else I know.
Having that very special quality is
a gift as I don’t believe many people can lay claim to being truly authentic.
On reflection, I’m sure many would say she was loved for that special way that she was so true in living up to her her own vibrant and exuberant self which was encompassed by her personality and her values, throughout her life.
She was “real” with people, as she was humble and she was never one to put on a show. She never ever attempted to impress a living soul.
Her personality and values were enduring, she took responsibility and made no excuses for who she was every step of the way.
I think, she loved her family deeply, she was fair based on my personal observation in her dealings with me. She was loyal and dedicated to her children and grand-children and her extended family.
She acted from her heart, from a place of love, and that was the basis of her decisions, and all of her life’s decisions.
Aunty Vita you will be remembered by many for your special authenticity and for always trying to give us a good laugh.
Give my love to Grandma and mommy.
May your beautiful soul R.I.P.
