Obituary of Mr. Guilherme Joao da Silva

Guilherme João da Silva

Passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 91. Pre-deceased by wife, Lidia, in 2016. Loved and cherished by sons William and Paul. Dearly missed by family and friends.  He was a native of Macau. 

Graduated from the University of Porto with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering. Came to Canada in 1969 and registered as a Professional Engineer In Ontario. He worked for Ontario Hydro in Protection & Control, then retired after 24 years of service. He became an avid bowler, a mass consumer of current events, a great raconteur of past deeds & exploits, and a fount of knowledge. Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home 4164 Sheppard Ave E. (Midland and Sheppard area) Visitation is September 9th & 10th, from 2 PM to 4 PM, and 6 PM to 8 PM, on both days. Funeral will be held at the Ogden Funeral Chapel, on September 11th, at 10 AM. Interment to follow.
