Obituary of Kenneth Page
It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of our beloved father, Kenneth Fredrick Page. He passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2024, at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving children.
Our father is remembered and admired for his kindness, integrity and sense of humour, and as someone always well respected, humble and a perfect gentleman.
Very active and self-reliant, Ken had a wide variety of interests, including attending symphony concerts, golfing and spending time with good friends. An excellent craftsman, and given his deep appreciation of music, he built two guitars and a banjo. He was a classical guitarist and also enjoyed playing and singing folk songs with his long-time friends in the “Scarborough Trio”. He loved hiking through the woods, canoeing and spending time with family and nature at our property in Muskoka.
A life-long volunteer with his church, Ken enjoyed taking on roles such as choir member, sidesman, treasurer, and being one of the team in St. Timothy’s woodworking shop, a favourite.
Mom and Dad were best of friends who loved each other deeply throughout their almost 60 years of marriage. They loved sailing, travelling, leading church marriage courses, and even working together running a financial planning agency after Dad left the executive world to start his own business. He was an incredibly devoted husband and supportive father.
Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife Gladys Louise Page (nee Bennett), and will be profoundly missed by his children, Jeff (Lesley), Evelyn, and Melinda (James); grandchildren, Curtis (Tanya) and Chase (Jessica); great-grandson Braven; and sister-in-law Ruth.
Ken is the son of the late George and Violet Page (nee Denning) and was predeceased by his brother George Ramsey Page (killed in action WWII).
