Beverley Norma James (nee Rout), April 18, 1937-August 9, 2024

Beverely passed away peacefully into the arms of her Saviour, Jesus Christ, in her 88th year, after a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred, her daughter Laureanne, her sister, Doreen, and her brother, Robert. Beverley is survived by her sons Ken and Tom, her siblings, Ronald, Joan, Bill, Florrie, Irene, and Sharon, as well as many neices and nephews. She worked diligently as a wife and mother, tending to the needs of her immediate and extended family, as well as volunteering her skills at Westmount Park Church, Faith Baptist Church, North Park Nursing Home, Northwestern General Hospital, and the Canadian Cancer society. Always having her eye out for people in need, she regularly visited the elderly, doing their shopping and housework, as well as bringing some cheer to their lives with a plate of homemade treats. Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 17, at Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough) at 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by a service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place after the service at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., Vaughan). Memorial donations may be given to Faith Baptist Church in Scarborough or to the Canadian Cancer Society
