Obituary of Mr. Franklin Forde
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Franklin Forde, who left us unexpectedly on July 30th, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 63. Born on September 29th, 1960, in Georgetown, Guyana, Franklin lived a full and meaningful life, touching the hearts of many with his kindness and humor.
Franklin moved to England and Canada as a young boy. He attended Bowmore Public School and Bendale High School in Toronto. His education laid the foundation for a career that spanned several decades. Franklin found his professional calling at Metrolinx, where he proudly served as a Station Ambassador. His warm smile and helpful nature were a daily comfort to the countless commuters who crossed his path.
Franklin's children were the cornerstone of his life. He was a loving father to his four children: David, Tamir, Monique, and Tyrese. His guidance shaped their lives in immeasurable ways. Franklin was the beloved son of Wendell Forde and the late Dora Forde.He was one of seven siblings, creating a lifetime of memories with his brothers and sisters.
For over 25 years, Franklin shared his life with the love of his life, Joy. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together they shared countless moments filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Franklin's legacy will live on through his children, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be fondly remembered for his contagious laughter, passion for music, and enthusiasm for sports.
A funeral service to celebrate Franklin's life will take place on Wednesday, August 14th, at Agape SDA Church in Pickering at 1 pm, with a viewing at noon. There will also be a viewing on Tuesday, August 13th, at Ogden Funeral Home from 5 pm to 8 pm. Family and friends are invited to join in commemorating a man who brought happiness and light to many. This will be followed by a private cremation and a reception open to all.
Franklin Forde will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
