Obituary of Mr. Daniel Samaroo Prasad

Daniel Samaroo Prasad (well known as Danny), age 78 of Scarborough, Ontario passed away on July 20, 2024.

The Funeral Service will be held on July 24, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home, Shepherd and Midland, Scarborough.

Rev. Sandrah Mashingaidze, Minister of Wexford Presbyterian Church will be officiating.

Visitation will be held July 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral at Highland Hills Cemetery, Woodbine and Stouffville at 2:30 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ogden Funeral Home.

Danny was born at Endeavour, Leguan, Guyana, to the parents of the late Rookmin (known as Elsie) and the late Zacchaeus Hariprasad. Graduated from the Wakenaam Secondary High School and further continued his education at the Guyana School of Agriculture at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.

Danny worked at the National Cane Farming Committee in Middle Street, Georgetown and the Guyana Co-operative Agricultural & Industrial Development Bank before migrating to Canada.

In Canada, Danny worked as a Customer Service Representative at World Famous Sales – A Major Distributor of Sporting Goods before retiring.

Danny is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Wexford Presbyterian Church. 7 Elinor Ave, Scarborough, Ontario M1R 2Y7
