Earla you will always be remembered as the kind person who had a voice out of this world. You always shared fond memories of your Percy and now he will rejoice at your homecoming. Continue to rest in peace and rise in Glory. Forever in my heart, former member of St. Michael's choir. Fay

In a few words Earla was a woman of high moral standards and Christian ideals. Resolute in her decisions, candid in her speech. Passionate about young people.
My Deepest Condolence to Dawn and Kim and their families. Rest In Peace, My Friend

Deepest sympathies to Kim, Dawn and the other members of the Walcott family and extended family. Aunty Earla and my mum and dad had a friendship that went back to secondary school days in Barbados. Their friendship transcended time and distance as they both ended up in Canada at one stage and transferred the friendship down to the next generation. While sad at her passing, celebration of a life well lived and a legacy of strong family ties is a reason to be assured that she will rest in peace and rise in glory. Deepest sympathies from the Chase family of Robert, Peter, Gail, Bernice, Courtenay and Andwele.

Aunty Earla's quick wit and warmth were always evident. Whenever she saw me, at some point she'd "remind" me in a mock serious tone that I needed to eat more before a light breeze blew me away. Then I'd tease her in return, and she'd grin and give me a hug. You always felt welcomed and wanted in her presence.
She had a fierce, unqualified love for her family, taking great pride in their happiness and success. Her face would brighten when she spoke of any of us, or when we were in her company.
That care and interest also applied to extended family. Spouses, boyfriends and girlfriends, and offspring were welcomed with open arms, and she would always ask how they were doing. And I will never forget the light in her eyes and smile when she held my firstborn for the first time.
One of the things I'll miss the most are her stories of my grandmother, and what my father was like as a child in Barbados. I am thankful that he was able to see her one more time on his visit to Canada last December.
I will cherish our memories of her.
Love
Colin, Nicola, Christopher and Jennifer

Auntie Earla was a very caring person. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
My fondest memories were visiting Toronto with my family as a child. We would stay at Auntie Earla’s home and she would take us around the city to various attractions.
She lived a long and remarkable life. She would be greatly missed.

My fondest memory of Earla (Mom) was her silent motherly reaction to me showing up at the Walcotts' home for a ride to school with Dawn and Mom in full makeup and with all my long hair flowing freely. Mom brought a wet washcloth and proceeded to wipe off all the makeup and braided my hair. She looked me up and down with a squinted eye, and that sound signalled that I should know better. I instinctively knew that I had become one of your daughters.

Earla's warmth, kindness, and caring personality, especially to and for family members, were exemplary and will be missed. Her and Percy's life as parents and married couple served as a model for me when they hosted me, between 1965 and 1969, whilst I was a student at university. Earla had been one of my babysitters before I left Barbados in 1947. She resumed the role 18 years later with affection and dedication, almost like a mother. I will be forever grateful. May she rest in peace.

I am honored to have been her pastor for several years. Our many hours together in visitation made me a better preacher, pastor and person. Earla Walcott was truly one in a million.
