Obituary of Mr. Henryk Oszustowicz
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Henryk at home where he
was peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 13th, 2024 at the age of 64.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 34 years, Elżbieta (“Ela”), who never left his
side, his loving sons Michael, Thomas (Angelina), and his cherished grandchildren
Peter, Adam and Camila.
Henryk will be sadly missed by his brothers Stanisław (Lidia) and Kazimierz as well
as his siblings in Poland Jan (Ania), Emilia, Danuta (Jerzy), and Andrzej
(Małgorzata) in Poland along with his many nieces and nephews.
He now finds eternal rest with his mother, Maria, his father, Władysław, and his
eldest brother, Michał.
From a young age, Henryk showed devotion and tremendous perseverance, first
working on the family farm, studying agricultural engineering, serving in the army,
and then going on to build roots in Canada for his family where he worked as a
handyman and stationary engineer with the TDSB for 31 years.
Henryk genuinely found contentment in being busy, fixing things, and finding work
between the house and cottage. He particularly enjoyed tending to his large
vegetable gardens and sitting at the family table, lightening the mood with his
humour and stories.
His warmth was felt as a husband and father, who always greeted and embraced
others with love.
Henryk continued to display his steadfast love for God and found strength in
prayer in his most difficult moments. His faith was unwavering and brought him
great peace in the end. This beautiful faith was shared with his family and
continues to bring us comfort as we celebrate his memory.
