John passed away on June 30, 2024 at the age of 84. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite his health challenges, John stayed strong until the end.

 

He was born to parents Patrick and Margaret on May 12, 1940 in Glasgow, Scotland. He met and married the love of his life, Jeanette. Both moved to Canada in 1966 and together, they have a son: Craig.

 

John is a caring husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and friend.  He loves sports and enjoys the simplest pleasures in life – tending to his garden, feeding birds, a cup of coffee, a pint of Guinness at the Celtic Club with friends, the Celtic FC winning a game.

 

John will be thoroughly missed.
