Lois Jean IRWIN

Lois Jean IRWIN (Parker) passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Sunday June 23, 2024.  Predeceased by her husband William Douglas (2014), son Douglas (2009), Brothers Kenneth and Willis, and Parents Janet and George.

Lois graduated from the Ottawa School of Nursing, Ottawa Civic Hospital in 1952 and began her career as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Sunnybrook Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital, Shepherd Lodge and The Wexford.

She enjoyed her nursing career and successfully and lovingly raised her three sons.  One of her Greatest callings was being a Grandma/Grammy. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her Grandchildren.  She was the best kind of Grandma: Just there to love you unconditionally and enjoy your company.

Lois always enjoyed spending time with family, whether it was family dinners, summertime at the cottage or spending some time in Florida during the winter. Lois discovered cruising when she planned a cruise for the whole family for their 50th wedding anniversary.  The cruises then became an annual event that she really looked forward to.

Lois leaves behind her sons Scott (Carol) and Brent (Susan), her Grandchildren Christopher (Alexis), Michael (Kelsie), Nicole, Jamie and Colin, and her Great Grandson Miles.
