Obituary of Mr. Chun Chi Charles Li

With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Charles Li, husband to Teresa and loving father to Valerie and Lennox, on June 12, 2024.

Charles was born in Kolkata (Calcutta), India on March 24, 1982. He grew up in India with wonderful memories amongst a large family, a tight knit community and innumerable friends and schoolmates. After moving to Canada, he continued his education and worked at several places before eventually joining the City of Brampton as a Fire Prevention Officer.

Charles will always be remembered for his brightest and warmest smile. His signature laughter will be sorely missed. He was the life of every family event and social gatherings, quickly developing remarkable relationships with everyone he met. He was the most loving husband to Teresa and incredible father to his children, always patient and devoted, fun and funny. He was an exceptionally selfless and genuine person. He leaves an indelible impact on everyone who knew him.

His father, Chieh Chuang Li and mother, Liao Shiu Liean, will forever cherish the devoted son that he was. He was a wonderful brother to his 2 older sisters, Christine and Esther. He has an especial bond with his older brother, Christopher and younger brother, Terence - growing up together & always doing everything together as the middle one in the trio! He will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law, Song (Esther) and sister-in-law, Ayen (Christopher); nephews, Stellan and Garrett, and nieces, Cassey and Megan, whom he loved to pamper and play with.

His passing also leaves a profound void in the hearts of his extended family in Canada, the United States, Sweden and India.
