Obituary of Mr. Neville Appalsamy
Neville Appalsamy lived a rich life, deeply rooted in family and diverse interests. Born on September 12th, 1944, in Albion Estate, he grew up surrounded by his siblings (Surviving Siblings: Emmanuel, Martin, Amy and Esther; Predeceased Siblings: Jacob, Alvin, David, Yvonne) and a close-knit community. His parents, Luke and Evelyn Appalsamy, instilled values of hard work and dedication, traits Neville exemplified throughout his life.
Education played a significant role in Neville's upbringing. Attending Albion CM School and JB Cropper School in Guyana laid the foundation for his future endeavours. Neville was an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of Louis L’Amour's Western novels, philosophical works, and comics.
Neville's talents weren't confined to academics. He possessed a remarkable skill in custom tailoring, a craft he honed alongside assisting his parents in their poultry business. Later in life, he worked at Coro, a jewellery company in Canada.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Neville's leisure interests painted a vibrant picture of his personality. He had a deep appreciation for country music and Western movies, immersing himself in the rich narratives and melodies of these genres.
However, Neville's greatest legacy lies in the hearts of his loved ones. His absence leaves a void that will be keenly felt, but his memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
