Obituary of Mrs. Ursula Mary Hoppie

Ursula Mary Hoppie, our mother, left this journey on May 22, 2024 in her 90th year, to start her new journey. Mom was a wife to our dad, Walter Hoppie, for 72 years. Yes, 72 years!  She was a mother of 8 children. Sadly, her first child, Jeanie, died in infancy and her daughter, Rosemary, in 2013. She is survived by her husband, Walter, children, Joseph, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Jacklyn, Nigel and Rita, 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. 

Our mother was a wonderful, caring mom who worked hard, both physically and emotionally, to make our lives happy. Memories abound of the many Christmases, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions that she made even more special. They would make a very long book! In her later years, she enjoyed going to bingo and meeting new friends. She especially loved to dress up and don several pieces of jewellery, always taking the time to fix her hair and makeup. Somewhere in heaven, she's playing bingo, with her hair and makeup looking fabulous and her jewellery sparkling!

Memories are bittersweet, and while our hearts ache in this moment, we will cherish forever the ones we have of our beautiful mother, Ursula. 

How lucky heaven is to have her.
