Winston was a jovial, responsible family man with considerable love and devotion for his parents , siblings cousins , nephews and friends.
He always made those who had the pleasure of being in his company very comfortable and his wit , was one of a kind .
He was very professional in his chosen career and highly respected by his colleagues.
His love for the game of cricket, reflected his approach to life and its challenges ; always batting and giving of his very best .
His innings was one of superb patience, kindness and love.

My sincere condolences to the Downes' family, on the passing of Uncle Winston. Uncle Winston was my "boy"...handsome and very charming! Someone who loved a good joke. I was his "girl", always made to feel special whenever we spoke. Our conversations always ended with terms of endearment, even whilst he was ill in hospital. Our last chat will be forever etched in my memory. Rest well, uncle Winston.
