Faiga Wilson

November 23, 1925 to May 12, 2024

Passed peacefully on Mother's Day in her 99th year.

Pre-deceased by husband Magdi, and son Adil (Karen), mother of Raouf (Karla), Sawsan (Scott); Grandmother to Andrew (Alicia), Lyla, Sean, Andrea (Gareth) and Daniel. Sister in law to the late Saad Tadros (Odette).

Born in Egypt, Faiga came to Canada as a registered nurse 58 years ago and started a new life with her young family.  She started immediately at St. Michael’s Hospital, 5F nursery. Mom loved her work there and her colleagues. They partied, travelled, and celebrated together. She had fun gathering them for social events and the annual Christmas party.

She loved to travel and flew to the far corners of the world as well as bus tours to the US.

Once the grandchildren arrived, she was a devoted Grandmother, taking them downtown on the subway to McDonalds and visits to 5F to show them off. Grandma’s place was fun for all the family gatherings having traditional Egyptian food and pretty much anything you liked. It is a wonder that we all could fit there. Grandma was always the life of the party, laughing and joking and talking to everyone.

You will be missed as you played such a huge role in so many people’s lives. May you rest at peace.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 16, 2024, from 5pm to 8pm at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave East, Agincourt. Light refreshments will be served.

Private family interment on Friday.
