Obituary of Mrs. Maria Zuppardi

Maria Zuppardi (Amenta) passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in the early hours of Mother’s Day, May 12th, 2024. She was born in Pachino, Sicily, on April 21st, 1935.

She was the beloved wife of the deceased Concetto and loving mother to her children Lucia (Lucio), Corrado (Lucy), and Giuseppe (Corradina).

She was a devoted grandmother to Joanne (Carmelo), Kenny, Concetto, Maria, Maria, and Cory (Melissa), and great-grandmother to Vittoria, Gianluca, and Annalisa.

She will be reunited with her loving parents Salvatore and Carmela and sister Giovanna (Pasqualino), and brothers Giuseppe (Sebastiana), and Paulo (Annetta) and her loving nieces Carmela and Nuccia (Tano).

Maria was known for her strength, courage, wisdom, and her BIG hugs and she will be dearly missed by many of her family and friends. She was devoted to everyone she knew, making sure everyone was taken care of with food, coffee and laughter, leaving us with countless memories at her home and the cottage that we will for ever cherish.

The family would like to thank everyone at Bethany Lodge who had taken care of Maria in the last few years of her life.
