Obituary of Mrs. Margaret MacMillan

Margaret Isabel MacMillan (Craig) known to all as Pearl, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at John M Parrott Centre in Napanee, Ontario. She was 97 years old. Predeceased by her devoted husband of 63 years Donald John MacMillan, her brother Tom Craig and sisters Jean Ewing and Pat Hutchins.  Survived by her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Fountain.  Remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews Patricia, Curtis, Craig, Lynne, David, Michael and Karen Anne and many great nieces and nephews.

Pearl was born in Magherafelt, Ireland on August 16, 1926, and came to Canada at an early age.  She lived most of her life in Toronto. 

Pearl was an active member at all the churches she attended most notably Rogers Memorial and Wexford Presbyterian.  She was on the women’s committee and served as one of the first women elders.

Pearl was a great cook, hosting many family birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas’ and other special occasions. She loved spending time gardening at her cottage on Lake Chandos and entertaining her nieces and nephews for summer vacations.

A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Ogden Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
