As a former singer of EIS, I got to know Donna in the mid-1980s. What I remember most about Donna was that her smile lit up any room she entered - and her unforgettable voice was pure, vocal velvet. May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace. I offer deepest condolences to Donna’s family.

Our summers on the beach in Maine will alwasy be memorable. Watching you as a mother and grandparent, you were exemplary and I remember particularly how you faced life's challenges with a high needs child. I assisted you as the accompanist for the vocal group one summer at L'Achigan's Music camp. I shared a cabin bedroom with you and saw first hand your perfection at work to produce the best for the Highest. Yours has been a life well lived and may you now enjoy God's eternal presence with all those who have gone before and especially with Ken, the love of your life.

I was very saddened to learn of Donna's passing - my family have known the Sharp family since we arrived in Canada from the UK over 75 years ago, and have many memories of wonderful times from our association with them at Earlscourt when my Father - Wally Mason, was Bandmaster there. Donna was also a mentor to me when I began my teaching career and I was always grateful to her for that. I send my deepest sympathy to all Donna's family - I know how much she will be missed - she was a wonderful, beautiful friend.

To: Greg, Christopher and Matt. Your mother and I went to school together along with Marilyn Dean. The school was Hughes Public School. After completing grade we went our separate ways but always tried to keep in touch. Your mother's mother (Edith Sharp) and my mother (Lily Holmes) also went to school together. My mother and your other grandmother (Edna Colley) were great friends as well. Your parents along with my husband Ed and I would meet at Marilyn's trailer at Jackson's Point during the summer. We always had a great time getting caught up on the latest news.
We miss both your parents and send our deepest sympathy during this most difficult time.

Donna and I have been friends for seventy years, we first met in grade five at Hugh’s public school.
Donna invited me to attend Sunday school with her at the Salvation Army when I was twelve, we had so much fun I have so many fond memories of our time together. It is extremely difficult for me to lose my dear friend, even though I didn’t see her a lot in recent years she was always just a call away. My thoughts and prayers are with her three lovely sons that she adored.

Donna May and I did our practice teaching rural week together. I have fond memories of that week as we worked together in the attic of the home where we stayed. It was K-8 school. We would steer clear of t the teachers' desk as there were mice in residence in one drawer and we didn't want to risk disturbing them. We took turns teaching music. To experience Donna May's voice was always special
We both were hired by TDSB and by chance were placed in schools one block away. She at Fern and me at Argentina. Jean Ashworth Bartle was at Howard Park. We all would enter Kiwanis Music Festival but never competed against each other . Music was and still is so much a part of all of our lives for we enjoyed the opportunities to share our love of choral music.
The angel choir will welcome her with joy.
Fondly remembered,.

Donna (and Ken) was someone I have looked up to ALL my life - as a Christian, and a Musician and Leader and as a person. From my very first music camp when I sang under her leadership, I knew who I wanted to be like. She had a very positive influence on my life and I thank God for her friendship. When I first became a Singing Company Leader I was so proud to achieve this role that we shared. I absolutely loved to sing under her direction, and was so grateful 'not to be a soft singer' - I learned to 'belt it out' and be proud. At peace now, and reunited with Ken and her Lord, I will remember her and her influence as long the Lord gives me breath to make music in her name
