Ms. Alicia Modeste

Obituary of Ms. Alicia Modeste

Please share a memory of Ms. Alicia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Born on June 15, 1969, in Trinidad and Tobago, and went home to rest in the Lord on March 24, 2024, in Scarborough Ontario Canada. Predeceased by her father, Kenneth Bradshaw and survived by her mother, Bernadette Modeste, brother Kenneth Bradshaw, sister Karlene Ryan, and nieces Renee and Dandre Bradshaw . Alicia was a dear and beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, God Mother, and of course friend to so many. Alicia enjoyed a rewarding career at Honeywell Canada. She also loved to serve the community including the Canadian Council for the Blind (CCB), Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Hands of Fire sculpture group for the blind, for which she was president. Through Hands of Fire, one of Alicia's lasting works was facilitating the existence of an inclusive space for the visually impaired to express themselves and their creativity through art. Alicia’s zest for life, love of family, friends, events and parties (especially her birthday!) was central to her existence. From her love of the Dallas Cowboys football team, to 80’s music, and organizing events, Alicia did everything with an “extra flair” and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Modesto! We will never forget you!!
