I was searching for someone who I heard passed away when I saw that Mr Fred passed away. I processed his retirement many years ago when he retired at MOL. I used to live at Pebblehill Sq (my family still lives there) so I said we are neighbours. My deepest sympathy to the family. Eternal rest grant unto Fred, O Lord. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Our condolences to the Iacovoni family.
We have known Fred and the family since we moved into 42 Deepdale Drive and we lived two houses away.
Angie and Debby were only little girls when they met and became the best of friends until this day.
Our families became friends through Debby and Angie's friendship and Hannes would love to go over to the Iacovoni house to hang out with Joey and talk about cars and play on the street.
Fred would always be tending to the house, working on the garden, building things in the garage, and keep everything in perfect shape.
Fred and Mary were always kind, gentle and welcoming to us and we have the fondest of memories of our time together in the old neighbourhood.
We will miss you Fred. Rest in Peace dear friend.
Love Hannes and Sieglinde.

Fred and Mary were very dear to our family. So many of my favourite childhood memories revolve around our times together. I fondly remember falling asleep to Fred and my father singing and making music long into the night.
Fred and Mary were always so kind and fun. I vividly recall enjoying their tank of colourful fish and playing their pinball machine in the basement for hours!
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Resquiesciat in pacem,
Paul and Christy Perrone

My sincerest condolences for the passing of your dear father. There are too many memories we shared with our families from visiting our homes, the cottage and our grandparents in Pickering. When my parents Fred and Rose followed your parents Fred and Mary to buy a house in Agincourt our families blended. Uncle Freddie was a kind gentle man and was loved by everyone. He would do anything for you if he was asked. I remember one night when I was a teenager I missed the last bus at night to get home. My dad was not home, but Uncle Freddie was there for me. We could visit Uncle Freddie and Auntie Mary at their hoe at any time and you were always welcomed by Uncle Freddie with his loud greeting of hello Theresa, his big smile and his big hug. We share your loss. There is some comfort in knowing that there is a large number of family members waiting to greet him at his new home with Auntie Mary first in line. And then Rose and Fred with the scrabble Board.
RIP Uncle Freddie
Love
Theresa

Our deepest sympathies to Fred’s family for their loss of a father, grand father, and great grandfather.
My father Leonard Perrone and Fred were life long friends with a deep bond. My father and Fred both had a love of the outdoors and fishing. As well, music was a common love of singing and playing instruments, together. There was always laughing and a little homemade wine involved.
When we were children, Fred & Mary and family visited our home frequently, not as visitors but as family.
Often a Friday night visit to the Iacovoni’s on Claremont Street turned into a return visit to our home on Dorlen Ave. on Saturday night.
There was always fun, joking, laughing, music and plenty of delicious food. There were many combined family fishing trips to Little Lake in Barrie. Fond childhood memories I’ll never forget.
I recall the story of our father's late night fishing trip for smelts, they returned with only 6 smelts. Fred asked Mary cook them up. Mary questioned, ‘6 smelts aren’t worth the trouble dirtying the pan’. Fred insisted, as he had got a $6 parking ticket that night, and at $1 per smelt he was going to get his money’s worth. Another night they return with bushels of smelts, enough to fill half the bath tub with squirming, flipping fish.
Fred & Mary were my God Parents, setting a fine example of how to live one’s life, to be kind and giving to everyone. For that I am grateful. Thank you.
Fred was always soft spoken, smiling, humorous, with an infectious laugh. My memories of Fred will be with me always.

Fred Iacovoni met my father, Leonard Perrone, when they were just 12 years old and became lifelong friends and fishing buddies. Growing up I have fond memories of spending most Saturday nights with the Iacovoni family either at our home or theirs, with Fred on the accordion or keyboard and my dad on the trumpet or guitar, drinking homemade wine and playing the old Italian songs.
Fred was a prince of a man and quick to laugh and smile and as warm as a teddy bear. At our wedding he gave a beautiful toast to my mother, and as my godfather he said he thought he would strike fear in us kids and all he got was love and affection! This was so true.
Fred and my Dad did everything together and one year they even both bought the same car, a Plymouth Fury III. Fred's was green and ours was brown.
Most of all Fred loved his family and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

We were so sad to hear that Uncle Freddie had passed away. But, we know that he is happy and content because he is with Auntie Mary.
There are so many memories of Uncle Freddie. My earliest is of Uncle Freddie picking up our family, piling in his car and traveling to Grandma and Grandpa’s in Pickering until we had a car. Also for me his thrill to see you, calling out your name and giving you a big tight hug, which did make you feel special.
One of Bob’s favourite memories is the guys Saturday and Wednesday night Leafs games and foosball. A night to watch the Leafs and play foosball on Uncle Freddie’s homemade game table with the broomstick handles. Competitive family teams and fierce plays. Lol
So many fun memories.
Our deepest condolences, Paul, Patricia, Joey, Angie and families.

We will always remember Uncle Freddie’s big welcoming smile and hug whenever we saw him. He was always full of love, laughter, and life and was a gardener extraordinaire!! (I always remember him caring for his geranium plants in the garage during the winter!). He will be greatly missed. We know the heartbreak of your loss, but also, the joy in knowing that you have cherished memories that will keep him forever close to your heart.
Love, Mary, Sal, Adam, Kelly, Richard and Kezia Occhipinti❤️
