Obituary of Mr. Josef Stumpf

Josef Stumpf passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 13, 2024, with the undying love and
support of his family and the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital’s Palliative care unit.
Josef was born on December 10th, 1924 in Elek, Hungary. He spent his youth learning
everything he could and as a newly married young man emigrated to Canada to start and build
a new life.
He is survived by his loving son Wolfgang and wife Noreen, and his loving and committed
daughter Janet and partner Robert. Josef is predeceased by his forever loving and devoted
wife Paula and caring and loving son Michael, whom he both loved dearly.
Josef was an intelligent, generous and multi-talented man, always striving to learn more and
provide the best for his family. He was always dedicated and focused to ensuring any project
he aspired to was completed ‘just right’ all of the time. He will be remembered for his work
ethic and commitment to his career as maintenance supervisor with a major real-estate
development company for his entire working life up to the time of his retirement.
Even after retirement and well into his later years, Josef continued working on projects he
enjoyed. Whether it was building things or tending to his incredible garden, he always took
great pride and joy in whatever he created.
Josef/Dad was a real inspiration and will be deeply missed.
