Sending love, positive thoughts, and prayers to the Lopes family during this tough time.
Dear God,
Lift up my friend Lisa who is mourning the loss of her mother. I pray that You bring the family comfort amidst this painful event. We hold on to Your promise of walking with us through the darkest valleys of our lives and I know we are not alone, especially during this difficult time.
Our family has you in our prayers

Hi Mum,
I have tried so many times to write this to you. I have so much I want to say but I just couldn’t find the words.
These things I do know… and find comfort in them…
I know that you are at Peace and without pain.
I know that you are with Papa, Gramma Glerie , uncle David and all the others that passed on before you. You’re probably happy, laughing and having a great time!!!!
I know that you are missed .
I know that you love us and even though you are not here to tell us, we feel your love.
We love and miss you so much .
I know that your love is ever lasting.
Thank you for all that you did for us.
Please continue to watch over us as I know you are.
You are always in our hearts and in our minds.
And Mum, Don’t worry , we are ok and we will take care of dad.
Rest In Eternal Peace .
Rest easy Mum.
Until we meet again
Love always
Lisa, Darius and Jaelynn

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So, He put his arms around you and whispered
“Come to me”
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands
now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.
Rest in Peace, Philippa, you will always have a special place in our hearts.
Thanks for all the laughter and good times we shared
as you leave a legacy of strength and family unity.
Peace, love, hugs & Light
Marjorie, Trevor, Philip, Marcia, Andrew, Brandie
and family.

It was with great sadness to hear that Philippa had died. As cousins (our mothers were sisters) we did not see each other often but when we did have a cousins gathering it was always great to see her and had fun being together.
Our deepest sympathy to Leon, Lisa, Michelle, Trevor and all of the Lopes family. We pray for you all to find comfort at this difficult time.

My grandma was a stern but caring person. She was a good woman. I hope she knows that I am thankful for her advice, and all the things she has done for me. Especially taking me to McDonald's almost every Friday when I was younger haha. I'm not sure if she has fully left us yet but if not, I want her to know she is missed and we love her. See you next time grandma.

Philippa and I had been best friends since high school days in Guyana, buddies, and bonded like sisters. we laughed cried, and shared secrets, hopes, and dreams, but most of all we were always there for each other. We both migrated, she to Canada, me to New York, yet we remained close and in touch, I met her husband, Leon, and her daughters when I visited her several years ago. a happy time, reunited and it was a joyful experience I loved all of her family, still do. She remains always in my heart. May She Rest In Peace.

Mom,
Thanks - Thanks for enrolling me in everything from Brownies to Baseball
Thanks - Thanks for buying me the ukulele even though you knew I wouldn't like it (and stopped playing it after my first class)
Thanks - Thanks for keeping score at all my baseball games and arguing with the umpire when they called me out and I should
have been called safe
Thanks - Thanks for being present, coming to all my Christmas concerts, graduations, school performances, playoff games,
parent teacher interviews and everything in between
Thanks - Thanks for all the trips to emerg: dog bite, fall from monkey bars, sprained ankle, black eye from falling off my bike, line
drive to the side of the head etc...
Thanks - Thanks for not killing me when I crashed the blue Toyota Tercel and thanks too for not killing me when I got my first
speeding ticket (my gosh what were our Car Insurance rates like?) LOL!
Thanks - Thanks for birthday parties that went on despite blizzards and snow storms
Thanks - Thanks for teaching me the fundamentals - finances, respect, empathy, commitment, loyalty, honesty and good work
ethic
Thanks - Thanks, despite saying "I ain't got no money" (Prince voice IYKYK) we never wanted for anything (hence the ukulele
purchase) but definitely weren't spoiled
Thanks - Thanks for the pool in our backyard (ok maybe a bit spoiled?)
Thanks - Thanks for ensuring I knew everything I needed to know and then some more about Car Insurance (haha) - my friends
thank you too
Thanks - Thanks for the recipes and the baking days and the wonton making days
Thanks - Thanks for the travels - Barbados, Ottawa (what a nightmare trip LOL), Florida x3, Buffalo, Rochester (shopping of
course), Cancun, Acapulco
Thanks - Thanks for teaching me "If it's meant for you it's yours"
Thanks - Thanks for being a present grandmother to your grandkids and showing up for them too
Thanks - Thanks for showing me independence and how to rely on myself
Thanks - Thanks most of all for always telling me that as long as I tried my best that was all that mattered
There just aren't enough words to say thank you for being my mom and for all you have taught me. I really, really, really wish we had more time but God had other plans and as you always said: "What will be, will be"
Rest easy now, sit back, put your feet up and watch the show of our lives you've got the best seat in the house...
Until we meet again...
Love,
Mich
