Obituary of Mr. Reginald Reece

The family of Reginald L. Reece are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Reginald, affectionately known as ‘Reg’, ‘Reggie’ or ‘The Reginator’ was born in Beaulieu, Saint George, Grenada. His adventurous nature landed him in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a pipefitter and met his wife, Wilma. Together they began building a life in England before the arrival of their daughter Raimunda (Rai). Later the family immigrated to Canada, specifically residing in Scarborough. Reginald was a tour de force, the kind of man who embodied old-school trade skills and a loyal affection for island food and calypso music. After a long illness, God called him home and he passed peacefully. In addition to his wife and daughter, Reggie leaves behind his grandchildren Shadé and Ilera, former son-in-law Francis Ogbogu, nieces Nicole and Tara, and close family friends Charmaine Hunter-Edwards (Donavan) and May Lewars (George). In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
