I was privileged to work in HR with Joanne at Enbridge, and she ‘made’ working there joyful, despite our department often being viewed by employees as the ‘Complaints department.
Joanne was resilient in the face of such treatment, realizing none of us could control the type of clients we supported. Her sense of humour was a salve for us, and she was an inspiration to all that took the time to get to know her.
She will bé sorely missed, but never forgotten ❤️

Jo, I have been beyond lucky to know you. Thank you for sharing your HR knowledge with me when I was wet behind the ears. You were my "ROCK". Also, for the wonderful times we had- going to the Blue Jay's & Raptors games, a few musicals, summer BBQ and not leaving out the dances. You were always the life of the party especially when the DJ puts on the calypso- you would dance the night away. You and I, we had a wonderful time together.
So, my dear friend, today, as you are laid to rest, with tears in my eyes, my heart breaks with this final goodbye. Rest in Peace with Eternal Peace
Missing you..Elsa Brissett

Hi Joanne. It’s taken me days to think of what to write. Even though it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you, I have very strong memories of the amazing, strong and hilarious person that you have been. You became fast friends with two goofy girls when we were 20 despite being twice our age. We always appreciated you and Sheila for that. We had such a great time working with you over those several years that Laura and I were summer students and we remained friends ever since, even though we didn’t always connect regularly. I thank you for your friendship, and for when and your son for came to my wedding and obviously, I have incredibly fond (and hysterically funny) memories of the trip you and Sheila took to visit me when I lived in France. We got up to some serious antics in St. Tropez in particular, toured all around Paris and Monaco (even though we looked completely out of place in my little crappy mazda!) and stood under the arrows for a long time!! It warms my heart to know you kept those memories close too. Safe travels wherever you are Joanne. I know you’ll be waiting for us whenever we join you at that ultimate party! All my love – I will always smile when I think of you.

Joanne was such a good friend to so many of us its hard to imagine she's left us. She was always happy, with a positive attitude, and a heart of gold. One of my many memories with Joanne was our trip to Paris France many years ago. Just recently we were reminiscing about our fun experiences in France, one in particular where we were standing under a street sign waiting for a bus (which we thought was a bus stop). Good thing our friend Deb Cooper rescued us. That was just one of many fond memories I'll treasure. Rest in peace my friend. Till we meet again in Lake Simcoe.

My sister in law Joanne has always been a very special member of our family and I have so many memories of times spent with her. We went to concerts together when we were young and Breakfast with Santa when our kids were young and so many other special times. Joanne hosted “The Sisters” to a Christmas lunch for many years and made everything perfect for us.
I am so very proud of Joanne’s kids and Grandkids for their wonderful devoted care for their Mom / Grandma..

Joanne was a lifelong friend/family member who leaves behind many cherished memories. She is in a better place now without pain flying with the angels in her new heaven watching over us. She was blessed to have such a loving family who made their last few months with her extremely special. Our hearts grew three sizes witnessing you care for her and each other. We love you all, Uncle Bob & Aunt Janet

My deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved Grandma Jo, (which is how I mainly knew her.)
She was a funny, kind, and warmhearted woman who has had a lasting impact on my daughter Zoë, who I know will carry loving memories of Grandma Jo in her heart forever.
May she rest in peace.

I worked with Joanne in HR at Enbridge (Consumers Gas). Joanne was a pillar of light and positivity and showed that work could be done with fun and lightheartedness along the way. Life is about experiences and Joanne experienced a lot of life and gave back to many. Safe journeys onwards to our friend, Jo, and many condolences to her family.

We had such great memories coming up there to the cottage. Her cinnamon rolls and anything she made was wonderful! She was an amazing mom, grandma and friend to many people. I loved seeing all of the pictures of her baking cookies with her grandchildren, sleepovers and spending time with family. Cherish all of those memories. She was truly a wonderful person who will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. She is up in heaven with Bob. He loved her.

Joey JoJo - I’m a bit lost for words because I haven’t seen you in too long and I’m very sad about that. Working with you all those years ago from the time I was 18 years old, you taught me what a great teammate was and you filled the room with so much laughter and ease - always making everything and everyone around you feel positive and lighter- No matter what you were going through personally, you are always full of grace, ease and laughter. I remember moments like they were yesterday from over 30 years ago- I wish I could be there in person, but I live in Calgary now. I will always be grateful to have had you in my life. “ Do it now, and don’t write it down!” Love you
