Obituary of Ms. Marcia Annie McKenzie

A kind, loving, strong woman, Marcia Annie McKenzie lit up every room she entered. She was full of life and love. The matriarch of a large family – beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend.  

Born in Jamaica, Marcia brought constant joy, comfort, guidance, strength and inspiration to those around her. She had a soul of giving; no one would ever go hungry around her as she would give the food from her plate before she would see someone else go without. She was a guiding light for anyone who knew her, and the glue that held her family together. 

Marcia will be remembered for many things. Among them, her amazing gift of conversation, tremendous sense of humour, nurturing spirit and quick wit. She was unmatched in the kitchen. Her cooking was top-tier. What was always clear is that she made everything with love. She knew the joy it brought to her family, and that brought her joy. 

Marcia will be missed tremendously and forever in our hearts.
