Dear Vieira Family:
My deepest condolences on the passing of Albert Viera. He was my God Father in Guyana. I knew that he moved to Canada and was married to my old school teacher's sister, Ms. Persaud (from Enterprise Primary School). I have not seen him in 40 years, and through the connection within the Guyanese diaspora in Toronto, I am learning of his passing.
I remember him fondly when I was a boy, and knew him to be quite the character. Along with my father, Ronald Chin, and Joseph Jardim, they were quite the trio as young men growing up in Guyana. He used to race bicycles with my father. I also remember spending a Christmas with him when he worked at the Correia Chicken Farm, behind what was then the Timehri Airport. My family also "camped" on that chicken farm behind one of the runways at Timehri back in the late 70s/early 80s. What fun times!!
For me, he will always be associated with my association with camping and hunting trips in the savannahs of Guyana.
May he Rest in Peace.

Albert was part of my family. Since a child he was always around our family. Shared fun times with him, and have fond memories of times he spend at our home getting into mischief with my brothers. He was a fun loving person that will be truly missed.
