Dear Mrs. Jacqueline Tannis,
Some years ago, we met you for the first time at your front door, and yet, not for a single moment did we feel that we were strangers to one another. There on your front porch, we shared thoughts, concerns and hopes for our community, for families like our own, and for our country. What an incredible experience . . . without a doubt, confirmation that our communities are rich due to the contributions of wonderful people like you and your family, sharing without hesitation, pure and simple goodness, kindness, and genuinity. For the many contributions you have made throughout your life - teacher, nurse, Mom, and so much more - thank you for enriching the lives of others, and through your efforts, making the world a better place. Your spirit and positive energy lives on through your beautiful family and sweet boys who we know you loved so very much. Sending blessings, strength, and love to you all.
Manjit Singh and Family

Bidding farewell to Jacqueline Tannis, a maternal figure and stalwart within our community of Scarborough Rouge-Park, whose influence profoundly shaped my understanding of altruistic service throughout my political journey aimed at impacting the lives of Canadians.
The occasion when I canvassed at your doorstep in 2019 to garner your vote is a memory I will forever cherish. However, you ensured that I earned your support, imparting a profound lesson that public service is a privilege not to be underestimated. The opportunity to shape public policy is a responsibility that should always prioritize the collective well-being of society, transcending partisan interests.
May eternal peace embrace you, dear friend. Your absence leaves a profound void that will be deeply felt by your loving family, friends, and community. Yet, they will forever be grateful for the abundant contributions you have selflessly made.

My Sincerest Condolences to the entire Tannis Family.
May each one of you be comforted by your Fondest Memory of Jackie, secure in the knowledge that you will meet again.
Our relationship was born on a bus trip over ice cream and blossomed in the basement of St. Margaret-in the-Pines over potatoe salad; simple and uncomplicated was Jackie. Always caring and encouraging and wearing a smile. She was Committed and Dedicated, to her God and her Church. I shall always Jackie as a recruiter of 'servers' in the service of her God.
So until we meet again Jackie RIP!
Margaret C. Haynes-Bailey.

My Sincerest Condolences to the Tannis family on the death of Jacque. Jacque has made a mark on the St. Margaret Church family for as long as we know her. She changed lives for the better. Her last endeavor was becoming an adult Server while training the junior servers. Jackie will be missed by everyone she came across. May she Rest In Peace and Rise in Eternal Glory.

My deepest condolences to uncle Max, Duane and Joshua. We look forward to the day when our Saviour Jesus Christ will return.
”For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.“

I remember my dear Aunty Jacqueline for her vivid stories. I can recall, in 2013, we attended a festival in Toronto. For over three hours, auntie expounded on the Joseph’s family history. She told me stories of my grandparents and great grandparents, my aunts, uncles and my father. With much detail and frankness, she related precious memories.
We will certainly miss her.
