Mrs. Jean Law

February 23, 1937 to January 6, 2024

The family of Jean Law sadly announce her passing at home on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was born in Toronto, the youngest daughter of the late Margaret (nee Ross) and William Philip, both from Elgin Scotland and is survived and sadly missed by her Husband of 65 years, Jack Law, and children: Jack W. Law (Madonna), Janice (Cristian), James (Nancy) and the grandchildren: Brittany (Alex), Jennifer (Christian), James (Amanda), Emma, Julian, Frances, Ethan, and Alexandra and a great grandchild, Philip.

She began her career as a typist at BF Goodrich and then elected to stay home to raise her family in a happy supportive environment. She was a loving person and was immensely proud of their achievements. Family meant everything to Jean and she always put them ahead of herself. She was often the Team Mother for the hockey teams that Jack coached over 17 years. She volunteered for 25 years with the Bendale Acres Women’s Auxiliary.Following and during those busy years, she returned to the workforce as a typist with the Scarborough Board of Education, and moving on to be a school secretary at Burrows Hall PS, finally Birch Cliff PS.

The funeral will take place on January 13 at Ogden Funeral Homes, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt. Viewing from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Service at 1:00 pm, refreshments to follow. Cremation at a later date. Many thanks to Community Care, the PSW’s from Spectrum, and the nurses from Paramed for their kind care and consideration.
