On December 27, 2023, Peggy Fay “Dadan” Beckford passed away surrounded by family at Scarborough Centenary Hospital. She was born on May 16, 1940, in Jamaica to Agry McFayden and James Beckford.

She will fondly be remembered for her commitment to her work as a healthcare professional. Taking care of others was truly her passion. She was fulfilled by her Methodist faith and spiritual support to the community.

She is survived by her loving children, Patricia O’Gilvie, Roger Cunningham, and Garfield Cunningham. She will forever be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Claudia Mellad, Andre Mellad, Ashley Cunningham, Crystal Cunningham, and Moya Cunningham.

She is predeceased by her siblings Hyacinth Bowen and Claude McFayden whom she loved dearly.
