Margarita Abulencia Pinlac passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at SHN General Hospital on December 10, 2023.

Margarita was born on June 10, 1930 in San Fabian, Pangasinan in the Philippines to her beloved parents, Teodora and Bonifacio Serraon.  She was the last remaining of eight siblings (Pedro, Lourdes, Albino, Christina, Cecilia, Antonio and Consuelita).

Margarita was married to Alonso Pinlac on June 6, 1948 and had four children Eliseo (Mila), Prudencio (Alma), Minda (Loreto) and Danilo (Lorna). She was blessed with eleven grandchildren (Jessalyn, Justin, Janice, Rochelle, Michelle, Audrey Ann, Lester, Lerwin, Muriele, Allen and Loyn Margarett) and 16 great grandchildren (Ashton, Paxton, Porter, Nolan, Malaya, Clive, Leo, Logan, Misa, Marcelus, Marcos, Sienna, Zion, Elijah, Gavrilo and Mihajlo).

Margarita was a well known seamstress in her hometown where she ran her own business called, Garing’s Creations.  In Canada, she worked in the food industry.  

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will remember her as a loving matriarch.  She will be missed dearly and her memory will live in our hearts forever.
