Obituary of Mr. Michele De Santis

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michele DeSantis on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at North York General Hospital in his 88th year.  Michele was born on July 2, 1935 to Mario and Iolanda in Coropoli, Teramo, Italy. He was the fifth of eight children. He moved to Toronto, Canada in 1958 where he married his wife Lidia one month later and enjoyed 65 years together. Michele is survived by his wife Lidia, his sisters Domenica (Guido), Rita (the late Elmo), Teresa (the late Mario), Laura (Pietro), and by his sister-in-law the late Giuliana (Domenico). Known as Zio Mike, he will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews Francesco (Tamar), David, Nancy, Vania (Carmen) and by his great nieces and nephews Isabella, Malcolm, Zander, Matthew and Marissa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
