Obituary of Ms. Shirley King
Shirley Elizabeth King
August 10th 1930 - November 8th 2023
I will deeply miss you forever
my one and only Grandma
All the memories when I was young
planting flowers, baking, walks in the sun
Our time together will be cherished in my heart
From a little girl to learn the world,
your love and care gave me the strength to become the woman I am
Mother of four, who knocked at your door
You welcomed us in with love and grace
I always admired your eccentric taste
Im proud to be
just as strong as you are
Paving the way for the next generation of our family tree
Your strong independent desire
A women of strength
the fire inside you
kept that leo lion on the throne
Through thick and thin,
you always found a way to bring us in, to your heart and home
Now it’s your turn to go home and watch and guide us from above
An angle in our hearts now up in the stars
Thank you for giving us all a home
For we will take over now until our end
until the day we will see each other again
We can move forward knowing that when we’re called home
our Grandma will be there to greet us with open arms & we’re not alone
Never forgotten and always in our hearts
The love inside, you take it with you
So take our love with you grandma
since the angles have now called you home
On to your next journey
of your spiritual life and know we will be ok
Mom, Marisa and I all aligned in the colour pink
On the day you were called to be at peace
Pink symbolizes love, nurture and compassion, It evokes feelings of comfort, warmth and hope
When we wear pink let this represent the warmth of your spirit
Pink also symbolizes success in the expression that “everything is rosy” and happiness with “tickled pink.”
Your favourite colour yellow symbolizes optimism, energy, joy, happiness
When the sun is out our hearts will be filled inside with your spirit knowing you are resting in peace
It was an honour to see you one last time
I will deeply miss you forever my one and only grandma
We love you
Amanda, Sharon & Grandchildren
