Soo many fun times with my step on dad. Where to begin? All the trips to the zoo, our joke was the animals were his family… days at home trying to get him out the door to grab milk or a few groceries before he’d go to work when Joy and Skyler were little. Papa John and his days of laughing with Skyler who would look through his Toronto Sun paper with him when Skyler was a a year in a half. John you will be great missed you funny odd fellow ! And those are just a few of the wonderful time with him that I can put into words

I first met John years ago at his family franchise Kiddie Kobbler in Square One where I bought a pair of ballet slippers from him. I was fortunate to meet him again many years later during his last years of working for The TTC before retirement. I will remember John for his wit, humor and loving hugs. He was a good samaritan and very fine mentor. I was blessed to know him and my many poems written for him attest to his generous and kind heart. Rest in peace dear John.

John was a wonderful, kind and patient man. He enjoyed being a part of all family events. I always enjoyed chatting with him and he always made me laugh and smile.
